Clean Green Body Polish

Description

Say goodbye to dull and lifeless skin by using my energising citrus based body exfoliator. Packed with mineral rich salt, this revitalising body exfoliator will deeply cleanse and refine your skin leaving it smooth and intensely hydrated.  This is a spa product and is all natural  with no chemical emulsifiers or harsh detergents.  Natural salts, mint and rosemary will help to slough away dead skin cells and the rich nourishing organic oils will intensely hydrate your skin for a refreshed, supple and smooth skin.  This is a wonderful detox treatment that is used in the shower and with regular use will help to lock in moisture, boost circulation and encourage natural cell renewal.  I have especially chosen organic base oils that will soften and hydrate and refreshing essential oils to awaken the senses and nourish the skin.

The ritual

Use in the shower on damp skin.  Mix the contents of the jar well to disperse the ingredients, use the spoon provided to scoop out two spoons of product, rub your hands together gently and apply the product in upward circular movements gently over the surface of the skin from the ankles upwards, concentrate on areas of particular dryness like knees or elbows.  Rinse with warm but not hot water and pat your skin dry.  Massage the infused oil into your skin and inhale the wonderfully refreshing scent.  Relax and let the essential oils penetrate your skin and keep it supple and deeply moisturised.

Avoid the delicate skin of your face.

Ingredients

Lemon verbena is a light green coloured essential oil that has a grassy citrus fragrance, it has cleansing and toning properties and is known for having restorative properties.  It is often used to treat eczema and other skin conditions as it has anti-inflammatory properties.  It is said to open the mind and is used in aromatherapy blends to focus thoughts and feelings.

Peppermint, increases alertness and cognitive performance, it has a very refreshing and herbal scent and is often used as a pick me up or to clear the mind of negative thoughts. I pick fresh mint leaves from my garden to use in this body polish.

Rosemary is a stimulating plant oil that is used for pain relief and to soothe dry itchy skin conditions.  In an aromatherapy massage I would use this oil for clients who feel fatigued or tired and are seeking clear thought and focus.  It was an obvious choice for me to include in my clean green body polish as I can use rosemary from the shrub in my own cottage garden and I know it will help improve circulation, help soothe tired aching muscles and also helps to clear and refresh the mind.

Lime essential oil adds an extra citrus top note and I chose it to give an energising cheerful note and boost the detox spa feeling I wanted for this truly Clean Green Body Polish.
